Barnhart Balfour Beatty was the general contractor for the $3.4 million renovation of the Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey. Renovations were made to the hotel’s main entry lobby and lounge, lobby corridor, 11th floor lounge, lower level meeting area, and kitchen/private dining area. In addition, the work included the development of a new business center and the conversion of a dining room into a junior ballroom. The renovations included architectural woodwork, stonework, drywall/metal studs, paintings, new wall coverings, and updated plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. The ceiling were redesigned to feature circular areas with gold leaf finishes.
