Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for Barnhart Driveaway, including job postings, driver outreach, hiring coordination
- Works with Recruiting Specialist to manage driver recruiting efforts for Barnhart Transportation’s South Carolina terminal
- Support driver hiring processes for terminals in Pennsylvania and Texas as needed
- Assist with office staff recruitment across locations, providing support to the HR team
- Maintain and update driver applicant tracking in Tenstreet and internal recruiting spreadsheets
- Report on recruiting metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as needed
- Conduct regular check-in calls with drivers to strengthen relationships, resolve issues, and support overall driver satisfaction and retention
- Provide building tours for new hires during onboarding and ensure a welcoming first-day experience
- Send out employee and driver birthday and anniversary emails
- Mail birthday cards to drivers at all locations to maintain strong driver retention
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly terminal team-building events to support company culture
- Manage employee anniversary gift process for all three terminals
- Collaborate closely with the HR team on various projects and administrative tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training
- Experience recruiting for the transportation industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal communication skills (phone conversations with stakeholders is a requirement)
- Strong written communication skills
- Organized, analytical, & detail-oriented mindset required
- Problem-solving skills in fast-paced environment
