Headquartered in Northwestern PA, with additional operational hubs in Charleston, South Carolina, and Houston, Texas, we support our fast-growing import/export freight forwarding and intermodal divisions. Our History
2003: Barnhart Transportation was started
2004: Barnhart increased to 4 trucks and Lakeshore Logistics was started
2012: Barnhart Transportation became an LLC and expanded into the Oil and Natural Gas industry hauling Frac Sand.
2013: Barnhart expanded from a 6,000 Sq Ft warehouse to the current 70,000 Sq Ft facility located at 9251 West Main Rd North East, PA.
2014: Barnhart Transportation, LLC expanded into cement powder hauling and increased the fleet to over 50 trucks.
2015: Barnhart started a Non-Hazardous liquid tanker division and obtained CTPAT Certification and it's Canadian Operating Authority.
2016: Increased fleet to over 100 trucks
2018: Increased fleet to over 150 trucks
2019: Acquired Driggers Trucking and Warehousing establishing a warehouse and terminal in North Charleston, SC
2020: Opened Route 20 Tank Wash in our North East, PA terminal as a value-added service to our liquid and pneumatic tank divisions.
2021: Jet Park Warehousing, Inc. opens 117,000 square-foot warehouse on 28 acres in Moncks Corner, SC.
2023: Barnhart Transportation and associates merged with SMG industries.
2024: Rebrand door-to-door global logistics capabilities under the Barnhart Inc. brand.
